‘I am very interested in the ideas of energies and how tribes through the ages have all looked to certain objects, places and rituals for positive energies to be stored or called upon. Now days in more formal religions this may be prayer, others offer their dreams to the universe or may look to personal rituals and superstitions to bring them luck! Within all these dimensions in some way we are exploring the sacred; what makes something sacred and were to find it. I hope to capture energies, powering my work with the accumulative charge of touch and time, entombing written and unwritten blessings and personal objects of importance to me within the work. It is like casting loving spells and well wishes to accompany the piece on its journey.’
