‘What is so fascinating about exploring different mediums from one’s own, is how they all link up, and many aspects of newly gained knowledge in one area, educates one across the board. The rhythm in the calligraphy, its stopping and starting had a strong influence on my mixed media compositions. Studying marbling really made me focus on organic form, on all scales. I was exceedingly fortunate to gain the opportunity to learn these mediums with the artists Rachel Yallop and Christopher Rowlatt.’
