‘Through performance we can create our own symbols and language, our own dance, our own magic, whether still or moving or caught by a photo for just one second we have the opportunity to project such power and energy that it is seared into the mind of the audience with strong personal resonance. I come from a family with a rich theatrical background; performance is in my blood as is the desire to dance. This is the only personal expression I do without thinking it is therefore powerfully pure and honest to me. I have tried to capture that unthinking energy in artistic exercises which have led to some rewarding prints and mixed compositions.’
