‘I want my work to have its own resonance’

I came to printmaking through a desire to create some of the final skins for my masks, but fell in love with the medium and saw ways to explore my themes around ideas of ceremony, the sacred, nature and its connectedness, icons and magic. I first studied printmaking with Carol and Colin Walklin; they totally inspired me with the medium. Since then I have also had the excitement of working with Dale Devereux Barker and the privilege to be guided by Merlyn Chesterman and Rod Nelson who quite literally took me on a ‘Leap of Faith’ to a new level of personal discovery and creativity. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have worked with these exceptional artists.
